Android Programming

Course Description :

Android is a software platform for mobile devices. It's powered by a Linux kernel and coded using Java. Android was initially developed by Google and later by the Open Handset Alliance. The Android platform is the fastest growing mobile development platform in the world. With Android phones being produced by all of the major phone manufacturers, and the addition of new tablet devices, the platform will only continue to grow. This course will get you started with all the features of the development process and help you to create your own applications and describe how to provide them to the market. We will custom build this course for our corporate and daytime clients. Your tutor will emphasise good programming practice, problems and pitfalls with your skill level in mind.

Intended for :

Preferably anyone with basic familiarity with Java programming requiring a hands-on introduction to the development of Android applications. However, a programmer with no background in Java should be able to pick things up very quickly.

Prerequisites :

A knowledge of Java would be an advantage, however, previous experience in OOP programming is a must. You must like coding and be prepared to complete assignments in order to achieve your required level of competency.
